I started the devotional, Daily Devotions from Psalms by Joyce Meyer, over twelve months ago, and am sad to find myself at the end.

The book contains 365 daily inspirations from the books of Psalms. My aim was to read one every morning, but there were some mornings when despite my good intentions, it just didn’t happen.
There are 150 Psalms and each is covered; some have one entry, while others are featured on multiple days.
I’ve always loved the book of Psalms, finding that the words expressed more fully what I wanted to say to the Lord, but was unable to do so. The wisdom that Joyce shares in this book, has not only deepened my understanding and love but revealed truth in Psalms that I was less familiar with.
My favourite Psalms are those of King David. I’ve always appreciated his honesty as he shared both good and bad aspects of his life with the Lord with unshakeable faith and love which always lead him back to a place of worshipping God despite the circumstances he was facing. David’s example has given me the confidence to do the same, bringing me closer to the Lord.
Psalm 150 is a fitting finish to the book as it extols us to praise the Lord at all times, with all we have, and wherever we are. Praise Him for who He is, for what He has done in your life, and for the good things He Has planned for you.
“Let everything that has breath praise the Lord.
Praise the Lord.” (Ps 150:6)
Recommend this book for your next devotional – you will be blessed.
Until next time
